2024 Scholarship Recipients
Hildy WicksHildy Wicks is a 2024 graduate of Natick High School, and will be continuing her education at Franklin and Marshall College for pre-veterinary animal science. For Hildy, a love of nature and environmentalism is rooted in 18 years of working, playing, teaching, and learning at the Natick Community Organic Farm. Studies in chemistry, biology, and environmental science have fostered and solidified that love and influenced her desire to explore all of the opportunities that the natural world has to offer. Guidance from mentors in Jr. Trail Buddies at Lilja school and at Mass Audubon programs have allowed Hildy to find her own footing in removing invasives and trash from different spots around Natick… sometimes in someone’s front yard. Her dedication to the community extends into performances with the Natick High School Band and participation in Girl Scouts. When she’s not out of the house, Hildy also loves to read, knit, crochet, and fall down google rabbit holes in an unending quest to understand everything. She hopes to exhaust every academic avenue and come out with a career she loves, whether it’s in animal rehab or research.

Nadav FuxmanMy name is Nadav Fuxman and I am a 2024 graduate from Natick High School. Next year I will be attending Northeastern University for mechanical engineering. I am passionate about environmental issues surrounding climate change and resource sustainability. My drive to find a solution coupled with my interest in cars is the reason why I chose my field of study. I hope to be at the forefront of innovation when it comes to decreasing the negative impact we have on the environment. Outside of school I play tennis, guitar, and piano. My enjoyment of tennis has led me to meet some of my closest friends and to some of my best memories. The way I spend time in nature is by hiking with my family and two dogs on trails all across New England. I can’t wait to start this new chapter of my life and I’m so grateful for the Ben Kessel scholarship.
